Lax4All
An adaptive lacrosse program where lacrosse players of all abilities meet to play.
About Lax4All
LAX4ALL is the first of its kind adaptive lacrosse program in Virginia, and one of the few in the D.C. metro area for athletes with physical and or mental disabilities. The LAX4ALL program offers these athletes (ages 6-18) the opportunity to enjoy the true lacrosse experience. Coaches and mentors foster sportsmanship, teamwork, and skills development on an age and ability appropriate basis with each participating athlete. At LAX4ALL, we love lacrosse and want your athlete to love it too.
How Does It Work?
LAX4ALL runs a series of lacrosse clinics in partnership with The U.S. Lacrosse Association, where participating athletes learn the basics of the game. Veteran lacrosse coaches will go over the day’s lesson and skill fundamentals with the participants. Community middle school and high school lacrosse mentors will then assist the participating athletes by implementing the lessons through on-field training.
LAX4ALL will adapt the skills and lessons to each participant's specific needs. Equipment and rules are also modified while maintaining the overall fundamentals of a team lacrosse experience.
Each session will run for 1 hour and 15 minutes. LAX4ALL asks that parents of participating players remain on site during the duration of the clinic session.
